BMW R1300 GS Adventure approval
The BMW R1300 GS Adventure (GSA) received its type approval on May 31, 2024. The new model is included in the approval documents for Switzerland, as is the version with the new automatic transmission ASA (Automatic Shift Assistant). Although the full technical specifications are not yet available, the data relevant to the type approval indicate some differences compared to the R1300 GS.
Performance and Specifications
The BMW R1300 GS Adventure retains the key features of the 1300 boxer. It has a maximum output of 145 hp (107 kW) at 7,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The new GSA can carry 20 kilos more than the R1300 GS, with a maximum load of 485 kilos.

However, it is significantly taller, with a maximum height of between 1,538 and 1,588 millimetres, depending on the windscreen.
