The BMW R 1250 GS Adventure will go on a farewell tour as the Ultimate Edition, but not yet in Germany.
The new BMW R 1300 GS has been available on the market since November 2023, but BMW has not yet introduced a successor to the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure. Therefore, the Adventure variant remains available in the 1250 version. However, it seems that its end is near, as suggested by the introduction of the R 1250 GS Adventure Ultimate Edition. The new R 1300 GS Adventure, which could be called R 1400 GS, along with other models in the R 1300 series, is expected to be launched between 2024 and 2025.
BMW R 1250 GS Adventure Ultimate Edition 2024
From 10 February 2024, BMW Motorrad will launch the R 1250 GS Adventure Ultimate Edition in the Netherlands and Belgium, with 100 units available for each country. In the Netherlands, the price will be 32,950 euros, while in Belgium it will be 29,950 euros, including taxes.
Triple Black style with full equipment
The BMW R 1250 GS Adventure Ultimate Edition is a fully equipped Triple Black style version. According to BMW Motorrad Netherlands, despite the high price, this edition offers savings of more than 2,600 euros compared to standard equipment. The comprehensive equipment includes comfort, touring, Dynamic and light packages, the semi-active Dynamic ESA chassis, gear shift assistant, heated grips and seats, gold-anodized cross-spoke wheels, Keyless Ride system, anti-theft alarm system, various protections, as well to suitcases and top case in black aluminium.
2024 limited edition for Netherlands and Belgium
The R 1250 GS Adventure Ultimate Edition is identified as a limited special model, with gold-colored emblems and yellow decorative stripes, which increase its recognition value compared to the Ultimate Edition offered in Italy in spring 2023. The latter was equipped black cross-spoke wheels and a standard Akrapovic silencer.
Ultimate Edition 2023 for Italy
BMW plans to produce 2,100 examples of the R 1250 GS Adventure Ultimate Edition globally. This special model was first launched in Italy in spring 2023, also based on the Triple Black variant and equipped with almost all options available in BMW's online configurator, including milled aluminum components from the Option Original Accessories range -719. The price for Italy in 2023 was 26,900 euros, a saving of 2,000 euros compared to the standard configuration. Although BMW now offers this special model in several European countries, it is not yet available to dealers and customers in Germany.
